Monday’s Moments…
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus) under heaven given to mankind by which we may be saved.” - Acts 4:12
It really is incredible when you think about it… that God would choose to save the world in the way that He has saved the world. No one else has ever died to pay for your sins… No one else ever rose from the dead to prove their power over life and death… No one else continues to love you unconditionally the way God does… which is why there is no other way to God except through His one and only Son. The simple fact is this: God did not owe us a way… instead, He gave us way – and His name is JESUS! (whoop-whoop and hallelujah!)
This Wednesday we resume ALL of our Wednesday afternoon/evening activities… dinner at 5:00pm (doors open at 4:30pm), Youth Group at 5:30pm, TeamKids and Adult Bible Study begins at 6:00pm. There is always a place for you at FBC and we hope to see you this Wednesday!
Our Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study will begin with a fascinating and understandable study of “Romans – The Gospel of Grace”. Each participant will have their own study guide to keep notes and to reference as their own. This study/discussion of the Bool of Romans will help us understand the foundations of our faith and points to the cornerstone of Christ and His atoning work of grace. Join us this Wednesday at 6:00pm as we start this study and invite a friend to join you for dinner! 😊
Also, this Sunday afternoon is an “Open House” at our home to help conclude the summer… there will be food, swimming, fellowship, and fun – all you need to bring is your lawn chair and something cool to drink (we will provide finger foods and refreshments), along with your swimmin’ skivvies and a towel. (If you have a pop-up canopy feel free to bring it as additional shade may be appreciated)
If you intend to ride the bus, please sign up at the “Connect Table” in the church foyer (bus will leave the church at 4:00pm). If you are driving there is plenty of room to park at our place, and you’re welcome to come and go as needed. We’ll begin at 5:00pm and finish up by 7:00pm.
