Monday’s Moments…
“Above All Else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity… Let your eyes look straight ahead… Give careful thought to the paths you take and be steadfast in all your ways.” Proverbs 4:23-26
Once again great advice and instruction from scripture as we think about the “Redeemed Living As The Redeemed”, which was our application of encouragement from Sunday’s lesson. Join us next Sunday as we worship and celebrate our Redeemer, and invite a friend to come to church with you!
Our Backpacks and Blessings Block Party event last Saturday was a tremendous success! Thank you to everyone who help with this “connecting” event as we had over 120 folks utilized our clothes closet, and over 65 backpacks given away or requested. Although it was a warm morning, It was wonderful seeing everyone working together to minister and meet needs within our community. Job Well Done Everyone!
State Fair Ministry – On Wednesday, August 19th from 2-6pm we have an opportunity to help work the Ministry Tent sponsored by our Missouri Baptist Convention. If you would be interested in helping with this, there will be a super-short meeting right after worship this Sunday in my office to share details.
On Sunday, August 23rd we will be recognizing our Sunday School Teachers and Workers with an appreciation meal after worship just for them, but you could also help us show our appreciation by writing some notes of “thank you” to share with your teachers as well as we honor them that Sunday. I am grateful for each or our teachers and I know you are as well… help us honor them by sharing notes or gift cards of encouragement to them as well!
