Monday’s Moments…
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:19
This was certainly a verse at work in our VBS this past week… God once again provided ALL that we asked for as our week of VBS was not only well attended and well served, but also went smoothly and safely considering all the activity of the week. All together we had over 187 involved with VBS (117 kids and 70 workers), then yesterday our attendance doubled as we had 383 in worship for our VBS Family Sunday. God is so good, and I am so thankfully for His faithfulness and provision as we had 7 students publicly profess Jesus as Lord, and several others who acknowledge praying through the A-B-C’s of faith in Him!
Thank you to ALL who served, prayed, and gave… I truly believe the gospel seed was scattered and the kingdom of Heaven grew through your faithful efforts. VBS is/was the Body of Christ at Work – for His glory and our good.
Next Up is our Backpacks & Blessings Block Party on Saturday, August 8th! Up to this point we have 48 Backpacks requested and will likely have more. If you would like to sponsor a Backpack (or more) the cost will be $50 per Backpack. This includes the cost of the Backpack, School Supplies, Kids Bible, and more. Our clothes closed will be open as well to help with clothing needs, HCC will be here with available resources, and we’ll make a party out of it by serving Hot Dogs and Snow cones! Join us on Saturday, August 8th for “Backpacks & Blessings” and Sign-up at the information table to help… come be a blessing and get a blessing! 😊
Coming Up:
- Every Sunday – Donut Fellowship at 9:30am, Sunday School for all ages at 9:45am, and Worship at 11:00am
- No Wednesday Night Activities until Sept. 2nd.
- June 29th – Free Summer Kids Feed Begins. Breakfast and Lunch served in our Fellowship Hall for all school aged kids in our community.
- Sunday, August 2nd – Preschool Board Meeting after Worship
- Saturday, August 8th – Men’s Breakfast at 8am and “Backpacks & Blessings” Block Party, 10am to 1:00pm (all volunteers are welcome to join us for Men’s breakfast)
- Friday, Aug. 21st – Faith & Family Night at The Royals game. Tickets are $40 (see Katie), Bus leaves church at 5:30pm.
- Sunday, August 23rd – Sunday School Teacher/Worker Appreciation Luncheon in Fellowship Hall after Worship.
- Sunday, August 23rd – Church Council at 5:00pm and Business Meeting at 6:00pm
- Sept. 2nd – ALL Wednesday Night Activities Resume.
