Thanks Mitch for stepping up and delivering the Lord’s Word in my absence this past Sunday as we spent some “Fourth of July” time with family in Oklahoma… I so appreciate our leadership, worship team, and many others who continue to carry the torch each and every Sunday as we proclaim His goodness and grace.
This Wednesday we will continue our Bible Study by Max Lucado called “What Happens Next?” Join us as we continue this interesting and inspirational discussion at 6:00pm this Wednesday. Also, this Wednesday only we will have pizza here at the church prior to bible study at 5:15pm (donations will be welcome to help cover the expenses, and bring your own soda)
VBS is Coming! Please help us pass the word… you can register at church or by visiting our website at: www. Fbcbuckner.org (There will be a brief Workers meeting this Sunday, July 12th after worship)
Guy’s – Men’s Breakfast is coming up on Saturday, July 11th at 8:00am.
Ladies – Join us on Sunday, July 12th after worship for our next DIY “Make-n-Take” Craft Luncheon and invite a friend! Sign up at the information table this Wednesday.
We are preparing to distribute Backpacks, School Supplies, and Clothing to families in our communities as we gear up for the start of school in August. If you would like to sponsor a Backpack (or more) the cost will be $50 per Backpack. This includes the cost of the Backpack, School Supplies, Kids Bible, and more. Our clothes closed will be open as well to help with clothing needs, HCC will be here with available resources, and we’ll make a party out of it by serving Hot Dogs and Snow cones!
This “Backpacks & Blessings” event will be at our church on Saturday, August 8th from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Please consider sponsoring a Backpack or two and come join us!
Coming Up:
- Every Sunday – Donut Fellowship at 9:30am, Sunday School for all ages at 9:45am, and Worship at 11:00am
- Wednesday, May 27th through Sept. 9th – Summer Break for Kids Ministry and Meals (Adult Bible Study will continue through July 15th)
- June 29th – Free Summer Kids Feed Begins. Breakfast and Lunch served in our Fellowship Hall for all school aged kids in our community.
- July 11th – Men’s Breakfast, 8:00am
- Sunday, July 12th – Ladies Create & Take (and lunch) after worship… sign up at information table. Cost is $30-35 per person.
- Sunday, July 12th – VBS Worker meeting after Worship & Ladies Craft Luncheon (sign up at Info Table)
- Friday, July 17th – Free Ride to Walmart. Meet at church before 10:00am or at Little Village by 10:00am.
- July 20 – 24 – VBS at FBC! 8:30am thru Noon (registration at: www.fbcbuckner.org)
