Monday's Moments

Monday’s Moments…

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will abound in every good work.”  (2 Cor. 9:8)

What a great verse and confident reminder as a follow up to our lesson yesterday on “Stewardship & Ownership”.  As our Good Shepherd, God is our provider not just spiritually but physically as well… in ALL things.  As we learned yesterday, and would do well to remember today - Jehovah Jireh means “God provides”.  Take a moment today and thank Him for His blessings and provision He gave you yesterday, and let that encourage you towards His faithfulness tomorrow.

Sunday, Feb. 22nd  we will be hosting another “Exploring Membership” Seminar and Luncheon here at FBC… If you have recently joined our church, or thinking of joining, or simply have questions about FBC and her ministries, we would love for you to come and be a part of this interesting and hopefully inspiring seminar & luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 22nd.  Sign up at the information table in the foyer to get more details.

Wednesday’s are very busy here at FBC… as we prepare for dinner, along with security for our preschoolers, we will not open our church doors until 4:30pm on Wednesday afternoons.  We love our Wednesday evening fellowship and activities, but please be considerate of our preparations and preschoolers as we make this necessary adjustment, and thanks for understanding. 😊

Ladies – be sure to sign up for the “Gal-entines” get together on Thursday evening, Feb. 19th.  Information will be in the church foyer again this Sunday.

Guy’s – Men’s Breakfast is this coming Saturday at 8:00am.

Also, we are starting a new ministry to help folks in Little Village and our Buckner Community with shopping transportation.  On Thursday, Feb. 19th (and each third Thursday of the month), we will pick folks up at Little Village who would like to go to Walmart to get supplies, food, prescriptions, and such.  We will pick folks up at 10:00am at Little Village (south parking lot) and return by 1:00pm.  Walmart will be our only stop and anyone is welcome to go.  There is no cost to ride the bus, and please call the church office if you have any questions at (816) 650-5632.  (we would also appreciate any volunteers who would like to go and help serve and assist)
