Monday's Moments

Monday’s Moments…

“Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”  The Jesus got up (from his nap on the boat), rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Queit!  Be still!”  The the wind died down and it was completely calm.  He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid?  Do you still have no faith?”  Then they asked each other, “Who is this?  Even the wind and waves obey Him!”  (Mark 4:38-40)

What an amazing scene this must have been, along with a teachable moment for the disciples albeit somewhat embarrassing for them.  Imagine, the wind and the waves being more attentive and obedient than the disciples were… although the disciples were experienced fisherman, and had lived and ministered alongside of Jesus, they underestimated Him..  They did not yet fully understand the power and purpose of Jesus… Neither can we afford to make the same mistake or excuse.   To watch this sermon/lesson from Sunday, check out our church website and watch or listen.  www.fbcbuckner.org
