Monday’s Moments…

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes

of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

How encouraged we all were yesterday at FBC as we witnessed baptism, honored our mom’s, worshipped the Lord, and celebrated with the Arnold family as little Eli came forward to confess Jesus as his savior, and surprise his mom with his public profession of faith. We have been so blessed with such a great spirit at FBC, and I am anxious to see all that the Lord is continuing to do in and through our church family!

Join us next Sunday for Senior Adult Sunday… Our senior adults will be leading part of our worship service, as we appreciate and applaud their faithfulness and contributions to our church ministry. We are blessed to have so many senior adults leading, serving, and being an example of what a Christ-like follower of Jesus is. Join us Sunday, and bring a friend!

I’ll also begin our summer sermon series this Sunday on “The Reality of Revelation”. Together, we’ll study the truth of Revelation that is insightful, inspiring, and reliable. So many of my favorite authors and pastors have done some excellent studies and sermons from Revelation, and I am anxious to share some of our notes and thoughts on how we apply Revelations to our daily lives and hopes.

Max Lucado has said this about the book of Revelation: “We, the soldiers, are privileged a glimpse into this final battle… assuring the church that victory is coming, which empowers the army of Christ as all hell breaks loose and all heaven comes forth in the ultimate showdown of good and evil.” I love reading and studying Revelation – It is a story about King Jesus, His Triumph, and Our Victory! Join us Sunday at 11:00am!
