Monday’s Moments…

What a surprise yesterday’s weather was, but how beautiful it was to see the snow atop the tree’s and green fields of wheat and grass… God’s creative hand always amazes me – “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” (Rom. 1:20)

Our ladies had a great weekend at the Women of Joy conference in Branson, and made it home safely… we are so glad, and anxious to hear their stories.

Project Connect is coming up the end of this month.  This year it will be hosted at Buckner’s elementary school as the need has outgrown our available space.  However, we still need volunteers to help serve those who come seeking help and assistance.  This is a great project, and worthy of our time and effort in connecting people with help and hope.  As we have said before, Project connect is like taking a mission trip and never leaving town.  If you can help, please sign up at the information table in the foyer.  Project Connect will be on Saturday, April 28th from 9:00am – 2:00pm.  Volunteers are to report to the school by 8:00am.

This Sunday we will have a special Guest Speaker at FBC – Greg Boll is our Associate Director of Missions for the Blue River – Kansas City Association.  He’ll be speaking on some of the ministry projects that we support with our collective contributions here in the K.C. area.  Let me encourage you to come and be part of our Sunday Worship at FBC… Come and expect a blessing!

  • April 28th – Project Connect (volunteers needed)
  • May 6th – First Annual SonShine Preschool Graduation & Worship Service, 11:00am
