Monday’s Moments…
This coming Sunday is our highly-anticipated and annual “Country Church Sunday” at FBC, of which we hope you’ll wear your bibbed-overalls, jeans, boots, or whatever make you feel like being in the country and join us for this wonderful day of worship, fellowship and food. If you’re able to stay for dinner afterwards, bring a dish or two along with a friend or two and enjoy some great country-cookin’! The church will provide the meat and drinks, but any casseroles, side dishes, desserts and such are all welcome – Yee Haw!!!
With Halloween next week, we have a couple opportunities to do some ministry together:
First, our SonShine Preschool Trick or Treat Party/Parade is Thursday, Oct. 29th at 10:00am here at the church… if you’d like to come help handout candy to our cute little kiddo’s it’s always a blessing to see them and their wonder. (we’ll be using our classroom doorways and fellowship hall, so bring your own candy and come a little early to get a good spot!)
Next, Trunk or Treat on Hudson Street is sponsored by our Ministerial Alliance and happens right on our church parking lot… come and decorate your trunk (I suggest positive and/or biblical themes) as we handout candy, hotdogs, and special T&T kid-friendly gospel tracts. Saturday, Oct. 31st from 4-6pm (be here by 3:30pm to get a parking spot for your trunk). Any donations of pre-bagged Candy will be needed and appreciated!
Don’t Forget… Got Questions? You are invited to attend a Q & A Seminar about Amendment 3 on Tuesday, Oct. 20th at the Buckner Community Town Hall starting at 6:30pm. Former pastor and legislator Doug Richey will be providing valuable information on the language and intent of Amendment 3 along with helpful ways to accurately understand the amendments on the November’s ballot. This helpful seminar will also provide insights to help you share with your friends and neighbors the importance of voting on this biblical issue.
