Monday’s Moments…

“All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciple of all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20)

This is the great commission given to the church… it is our mandate and purpose as we witness, reach, and teach our community about the love and forgiveness Jesus offers each of us. Yesterday was a great day to see that on display as we had the privilege of baptizing four, and having the opportunity to worship with the many guest who came and witnessed the baptisms.

Next Sunday is another great opportunity to personally practice the “Great Commission” of Jesus as we kick of the school year with “Back To Church/School” high attendance Sunday. Part of this special day is the showing of the movie “I Can Only Imagine” that evening at 6:00pm. This is a powerful movie about love, redemption, and forgiveness based on the number one inspirational song, “I Can Only Imagine”. Please make every opportunity to come and see this film, and bring someone with you. If each of us makes a personal invite “Imagine” the impact that this movie and message can make on someone’s eternity. This movie is a free event, and childcare will be provide for ages: preschool – 2nd grade.

Ministry Opportunity – We are looking for someone to help change the weekly sign messages on the church sign and to keep it clean and maintained. We have lots of comments on our sign messages… the inspirational quotes along with upcoming announcements are a valuable way of communicating with our community. If you would be willing to see this as a ministry and work with me in generating the messages, it would be of great help and value. Email me if you are interested or have questions at:

Thank You and Congrats! Our Preschool passed our state inspection today with flying colors! This is always a challenge as the state makes sure our facilities pass Fire Inspections, Health and Sanitation Inspections, making sure we are in compliance with all safety issues along with paperwork and immunizations. It is a BIG task to have all of this done and available. Many thanks to so many of our workers, members, and school board for their diligent work and long hours making everything ready – job well done!

Speaking of Preschool, we are currently enrolling for the new school year and have over 40 enrolled representing 30 families that are connecting with our church through our SonShine Preschool/Daycare. A couple of our Baptisms and visitors have been a part of this valuable ministry as we strive to reach families in our community. Although the Preschool has weekly challenges, these challenges bloom into weekly blessings. Pray for our workers and these families, that they would be and see Jesus!
